The 48th Meeting of the Brazilian Econometric Society will be held in Foz do Iguaçu/PR, 15–18 December 2026.
Undergraduate Participation Support Programme — 48th EBE
SBE holds the Brazilian Meeting of Econometrics (EBE) every year: a space for meeting, exchanging knowledge and presenting research that brings together researchers, students and professionals in the field.
This year, SBE is supporting the participation of undergraduate Economics students in the 48th EBE, to be held 15–18 December 2026 in Foz do Iguaçu (PR).
Up to 15 undergraduates duly enrolled at Brazilian institutions recognised by the MEC will be selected. See the remaining eligibility criteria and the stages of the selection process in the call.

Review panel
Meet the review panel responsible for assessing applications to the Undergraduate Participation Support Programme at the 48th Brazilian Meeting of Econometrics (EBE).
Ariana BrittoJ-PAL LACPublic Policy Manager at J-PAL LAC, responsible for managing partnerships with governments in Brazil and for identifying and fostering synergies across J-PAL's projects in the country. She holds a PhD and an MA in Economics from Universidade Federal Fluminense and a BA in Economics from UNICAMP. She is an associate researcher at the Centre for Studies on Inequality and Development and an associate member of the Rede de Economistas Pretas e Pretos.
Tainá PortelaFEA-USPDoctoral candidate in Economic Theory at the School of Economics, Business and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). She holds an MA in Economics from the Centre for Development and Regional Planning of Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a BA in Economics from FEA-USP. Her work spans Labour Economics, Gender Economics, Economics of Education and Public Policy Evaluation.
Vitor PossebomFGV EESPProfessor at the São Paulo School of Economics of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EESP). He holds a PhD in Economics from Yale University and an MA and BA in Economics from FGV EESP. His research covers microeconometrics, with applications in health economics and the economics of crime.
