What the IMDS-SBE Award is

Economic science in the service of social development

In partnership with the Brazilian Econometric Society, the Instituto Mobilidade e Desenvolvimento Social — IMDS runs the award to recognise research contributing to human development in Brazil.

Selection process

Two stages, rigorous scientific criteria

01 / Scientific screening

Scientific Committee of the 46th EBE

The Scientific Committee of the 46th Brazilian Meeting of Econometrics, in the Applied Microeconomics area, assesses every submitted paper and selects the finalists.

02 / Final judging

Award-specific panel

A panel appointed by SBE attends the presentations in the special session and then meets to decide first and second place.
